The Digestive System of a Lancet Liver Fluke (Dicrocoelium dendriticum)
Because the Lancet Liver Fluke is a parasite, it feeds on things such as blood, flesh, etc. They do not need that complex of a digestive system because of how simple the things they feed on are. The digestive system of a Lancet Liver Fluke consists of a simple sac with a mouth either at the back end, or towards the middle of its body. In most flukes, there is no anus at all, but others can have one, or even two.
